Leadership and Teamwork
Summer of 2018, I worked at YMCA Camp Eberhart as the Female Counselor in Training (CIT) Coordinator. My partner, Andrew, and I built the program to train the camp's future counselors on problem-solving, being a leader, and working together as a team. Below are a few quotes from CITs that I worked with this summer.
Lead by Example
"She was always able to keep us focused on the task at hand while also letting us attempt our task independently. She was an excellent support system throughout and lead by example and with natural positivity. Jacqueline has taught me that it is possible to be a successful leader while also letting people participate with their own ideas. She is the right balance between friendly support system and goal-driven leader."

Hard Work and Patience
"Jacqueline taught me the importance of hard work and patience. She is an amazing role model to me. She is principled and extremely caring. Jacqueline taught me how to take the initiative as a leader and to put my best foot forward. She is incredibly open-minded and always kept an amazing attitude!"

Team Building
"I've known Jacqueline for over ten years now since I was six years old, and she has always been a role model to me. Last Summer she ran the Counselor Training program I was in, and I was reminded yet again why I looked up to her. She brought us all together from strangers to family, helped us grow and adapt to leadership, and managed to have fun with us while doing it."

Team Building &
Problem-Solving
Much planning went into building YMCA Camp Eberhart's CIT program. One thing I wanted the CIT's to recognize was how easy it could be to make a difference in someone else's life. My partner and I looked throughout Three Rivers, Michigan, to see where in the community we could help. That's when I made a connection with

Here, the CIT's dedicated a whole day to build a house. They learned how to properly use power tools to put up walls, plaster, and place siding. Many of the tasks required multiple hands and needed teamwork and problem solving when things didn't go as expected.
Creativity
Never hesitating to step in and step up, Murphy demonstrated extraordinary leadership and adaptability when she was an integral member of Butler's National Student Advertising Competition team. In situations that required listening, negotiation and implementation, Jacqueline was a rock star at getting things moving and done!
